This is SHOCKINGLY rust free and the interior appears to be in immaculate shape, not really my style on the seats but damn, it’s a lot of not rusty truck.

Biggest complaint is the terrible tail light replacements.
I normally go to this dealer site kind of as a joke, they have some hysterically odd ball vehicles at time, I used to live in that town and in my old job drove by every day, always interesting what you find at this odd little lot.
Edit: For those who don’t want to click through - $6,500

195k on the odometer? You could get at least another 75k out of that engine!

If I could afford no miles to the gallon it would be in my drive way this second.

Even the name of that dealer is sketchy. I wonder how much salvage is in the probably a salvage title.

go buy it!

I’ve heard these guys are a touch more honest than the guys down the road “roadrunnerautosales” Who out right lie to potential customers about cars not being in accidents.
I can’t believe it’s not rusty. I don’t know how they found a garage big enough for it here in Michigan unless they brought it up from the south.
Plane hanger?
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:01 |

Nice shape, but almost $7k for a 200k/mile Ford? CP.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:02 |

Possibly covered in bondo?
Also as a side note, the interior is on the hideous end of the spectrum.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:04 |

$6500 is a bit much. $4000 would be great.
This would be very popular with the South. Only thing to make it better would be the Navistar T444 engine.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:05 |
|
when did 6500 become almost 7k?
It’s over priced. I imagine they’re leaving negotiation room. I bet 5 would take it.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:06 |
|
I think it probably sells at 5k. It’s a LOT of truck with no rust in Michigan.
I agree 6500 is a bit high
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:08 |
|
Oh yeah I made that side note right away up top lol
It’s in shockingly good shape though for a “manly mall runner” truck like this, that’s a lot of seats that the kids didn’t screw up. Maybe they didn’t want to touch them?
I doubt the bondo, this site just sells the rusty ones as is, they frankly don’t give a shit lol there mis-matched doors on cars at this lot, they don’t normally hide much haha. Look through their listings for a laugh.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:08 |

$6500 would be perfect if it had half the miles.
Speaking of which, my 1995 F-150 (Southern truck, no rust, 98K miles) is listing at $6000. (PP Value is $5600)
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:09 |

Then they probably just nabbed it from a Police auction or something.

4x4? Cab size?
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:11 |

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
I’ve even seen them selling an Explorer that didn’t have a body, just a roll cage that someone (poorly) turned into a sand dune truck. But it was still street legal, blinkers, lights, bumpers, belts etc.
The amount of fucks these guys give is hysterically low.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:11 |

And jeeeeeez, that is a lot of shitty cars. There’s a few pretty interesting ones though.
http://www.paylessusedcarswayne.com/1999_Chevrolet…
Oh and that’s a good deal.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:12 |

RWD SuperCab.
This is the South (Georgia), so even that is still valuing at close to $6000.

Isn’t this site a ball?
Driving by their lot I swear I must have almost crashed multiple times.
If you’re into crazy classic car sites enjoy this crazy bastard of a website:

Haha, but rlly that Corvette though.
But for that last site, I like it how the email is obviously for the owner.

I bought an 01 4x4 Limited for $3800 with 140k on it.
Needed ball joints, an intake manifold gasket, tires, and coil packs and this was from a dealership I trusted. The previous owner was apparently a complete moron who couldn’t figure out how to change his wiper blades or clean up coffee stains.
They ride like clouds and have tons of room. I think mine also has locking differentials. The interior is crap — the leather is really thin and the plastics are like a Tupperware bowl
I can recommed one, but that one looks a little shit for the price
It gets 14 mpg, which is about the same as my Olds

Yo what the fuck am I looking at?

not if you turbo it... which you should.. muahahaha
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:18 |

Yeah the Vette’s a decent deal I think I could find better around here though.
And yeah that owner email is fantastic. Marshall Motors is my favorite, “fuck I don’t want to work what can I look at that isn’t OPPO” website.

holy shit I almost spit water all over my computer man.
people in my office probably think i’m insane.
I’m so glad I shared this site with you

i’m still laughing my ass off over here
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:29 |

It’s at a dealer, so sales tax and fees will push it up over $7k.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 16:33 |
|
Meh, if it sold for 5, it won’t be THAT high.
but If you couldn’t get out the door around 5, it’s not worth it.

Also, I’m pretty sure I wrecked the rest of your afternoon’s productivity.

I would love to have a diesel Excursion. It’s the last tow vehicle I’d ever need to buy.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 17:57 |
|
Hahaha, yea unless you need a 5th wheel, you’d be set.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 18:47 |

Love the Excursion, but V10 is kind of a risk. Dont forget the notorious spark-plug blow-outs these Triton engines are known for.
I used to own a 2001 Excursion V10, and one of the spark plugs blew-out (~180-190k miles). This was my daily commuter and I was usually was pretty easy on her. Bit of research revealed this to be a more frequent issue. The problem is, depending on severity, it could be a ~$500 fix (timesert/helicoil), or a ~$3000 fix (head replacement), both were quoted to me including parts and labor.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 19:15 |

You did hahaha.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 19:27 |
|
Oh yeah I hear you on that. Put it’s possible to walk out of the dealer in the 5k range on an apparently rust free v10 4x4.
That’s a lot of truck for not much money.

I hope you weren’t supposed to leave work and didn’t look up at the clock until 715. The website will be there tomorrow!

Haha, luckily I’m off today.
![]() 08/27/2015 at 03:50 |

SHHHHH... Don’t give away Michigan’s greatest secret!! I love all the reasonably priced old iron that they have!
![]() 08/27/2015 at 08:40 |

I would but I bought an 03 Tahoe last fall for quite a bit less with less miles!
![]() 08/27/2015 at 09:08 |
|
yes but this could tow what ever you’re currently towing with the tahoe....PLUS THE TAHOE!
hahahaha, no you got a good deal on the tahoe if it’s clean, good for you
![]() 08/27/2015 at 09:12 |

Are you from Michigan or did someone slip you the site too? Haha
![]() 08/27/2015 at 09:24 |

I had a 2000 and I use to get around 14 MPG on the highway at 80 MPH.
My 2001 Land Rover Discovery has a hard time doing that at 65 MPH!
![]() 08/27/2015 at 12:58 |

Really? That isn’t horrible

Haha, where abouts in Michigan? A couple of us are going to the Lingenfelter C&C Tomorrow, you’re welcome to join.

Yep!!!
![]() 09/08/2015 at 04:45 |

Man that would have been a lot of fun! Im actually working in North Dakota right now so im missing all the awesome car stuff back home but im from Bay City. Is Ligenfelter’s C&C held at their Brighton location? I remember stopping there after Bronco-rama at Jeff’s Bronco Graveyard (which is a pretty cool event in itself)
![]() 09/08/2015 at 09:06 |
|
It was at their Wixom location, which I suppose could be mistaken for Brighton, it’s not too far.
Turned out the Montego didn’t cooperate and had to be taken home, I went anyhow but only in my boring DD - Mercury Milan V6
![]() 09/08/2015 at 20:42 |
|
No Brighton is where the “Ligenfelter Collection” is stored, I had just assumed that was where cars & coffee would be held. I hope whatever was ailing the Montego was minor! That is one awesome car!

Unfortunately I think it’s the opposite and that it’s quite major.
I’ve been having overheating issues. Replaced radiator with a new 4 core one, replaced water pump with a high flow pump, lower temp thermostat, all new hoses.
I think it’s leaking from the rear of the engine, which means...head gaskets. And it means I may as well either get new heads, or get them gone through. $$$$
